Tom Stolarski was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. At 18 years of age he enlisted in the United States Navy as an electrician and was based in Long Beach, California. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam and obtained the rank of Petty Officer, Electrican's Mate. He was honorably discharged after three years' of service

After discharge from the service Tom worked for Garrett Air Research as a maintenance and construction electrician. During this time he obtained his State of California Electrical Contractor's License by attending Los Angeles Trade Tech College.

In 1974 Tom graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. He worked for ten years at Peerless Pump Company, selling fire pumps throughout the western United States and Hawaii. He was District Sales Manager for five of the ten years.

In 1984 Ken Cramer asked Tom to take over the running of his company known as Ken Cramer Company and become the new representative for Metron Inc. in the Southern California, Arizona and Nevada regions. Tom spent two years working with Ken, benefitting from Ken's 30 years experience in fire pump controllers and fire protection systems, before taking over the company. In 2011 Tom changed the name of the company to KCCO Controls and recently incorporated the company which is now named KCCO Controls Co.

Tom now has three decades combined experience of fire pumps and fire pump controllers. This makes him UNIQUE in the fire protection industry for this region, and gives him a distinct advantage over other service technicians.

His extensive knowledge of fire pumps, diesel engines, controllers and fire protection systems means that he is THE EXPERT in this field.

Tom is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and the Southern Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.

In his spare time Tom holds seminars for local fire departments and the Sprinkler Fitters Local 709 Apprentice School.
